    Hi
I used to have a bicycle horn alert tone on my pearl 8100, after upgrading to a newer OS the sound has disappeared, does anyone have or know where i can get the sound alert from ? or if anyone could advise what OS it was available on and maybe i can download it again ?

    thanks

You can get many different sounds, clips, and tunes downloaded directly to your BB from Zedge.net. There is also a search function on it to help you find one or more of over 200k choices. Enjoy!

Nope. Even installed the oldest Vodafone os I could find, v4.2.1.103_P2.3.0.82. That ringtone is not contained, and that's 1 of 3 4.2, and 7 overall os.
Sorry, just search (I'm sure that's not the answer you'd like) the web for horn ringtones, till you find what you like.

    Many thanks for your efforts

I have found a link that shows this file,
    net_rim_bb_profiles_tunes_tunebundles_tunes8700g

apparantly there is a COD file that contains the notifier sound, I'm not sure how to get it out though ?

I found the link, and installed the file from post #5. Went smooth, but the ringtone was bikebell, not bikehorn. To get it on the BB, create a new folder, I named mine Extra Ringtones. Extract the zip files into it. Open DM with BB attached, select application loader. When it finishes it's auto run, make sure everything says none, uncheck anything that doesn't. Select browse, go to created folder you extracted to, select the alx file in the folder. Execute application loader and let it complete. That's it, your done!

    Hi Guys,
I really appreciate the time you've put into this thread.
I can't seem to get that ALX file to load onto my BlackBerry Torch.
Does anyone have the MP3? And also an MP3 for the horn sound too?
    Many thanks,
    Alexis.
