When I try to run the app "BerryTorch" I get an error message saying "Uncaught exception: net.rim.device.api.system.ControlledAccessExceptio n." Can someone shed some light on this (no pun intended)?

You need to go into options, advanced options, applications, highlight BerryTorch, menu key, select "edit permissions", make them all allow, save changes. Do a reset/battery pull and try using it again.

I set all of the application permissions allow, reset and it still didn't work. I tried re-installing it, but it, too, didn't work.

Don't know why it's giving you fits, unless there are different versions for different OS/devices. I do know My Flashlight will work.
