You should be able to hit a letter on your qwerty keyboard, and it will highlight whatever option in your menu that starts w/that letter.

Also search the threads for track ball cleaning. place your phone on a stack of papers with the track ball facing down. Then with gentle pressure that is just hard enough to depress the TB roll it around. Also you can buy replacements cheap or if your device isn't very old some carrier stores will replace them for you.

You can scroll down using your space bar, then scroll back up to where you want to be.

Clean Your Trackball Its very easy! Just Youtube it! Just be careful not to break the little clips on the ring that holds in your track ball! There are 3 clips

Use a Q-tip with windex to quickly clean the track ball. (Make sure it doesn't drip) But on your 8120 it's very easy to replace. You can get 1 here: HorizonWirelessOnline.com - Horizon Wireless, The World’s Cellular Repair Center

I had the same problem, and wound up pulling my ball out and cleaning it/the sensor on the phone. I broke one of the three clips though, so now I have tape holding the ball in Don't want to buy a new one, since I'm hoping to get a 8900 soon
