I know there are several posts on here about the application loader giving problems to people in relation to the error"

"No additional applications designed for your device were found."

Everyone says go download and install the latest Desktop Manager Software.

I DID For Alltel: Blackberry Desktop Software v4.3

Then everyone says go and download and install the latest OS

I DID For Alltel: Blackberry 8130 Wireless Handheld(TM)

Now every one says to make sure they are both installed and reboot the computer.

    I DID!!!!!!!!

SAME OLD CRAP! NOTHING HAS CHANGED

This is what is on my phone:

    Platform 3.1.0.40
    App Version 4.3.0.81(149)

This is whats on my desktop software:

    4.3.0.15

Since these numbers are not completely identical, is that the problem?

I have downloaded everything from this link: (sorry the forum wont let me post the hyperlink yet)

    blackberry.com/Downloads/entry.do?code=1C65CEF3DFD1E00C0B03923A1C591DB4

I have deleted both programs and reinstalled TWICE! I have even done it on another computer! Is this an Alltel thing?

Please, anyone, why is this not working?

    Alright let's see something here.

Open up Desktop Manager, you don't need to have your phone connected for this.
Click Help and select About Desktop Manager.
Click on the tab labeled Device Software.

Is there anything listed in the box?

Something doesn't match up then. You have an Alltel branded 8130? And you installed the Alltel version of the OS for the 8130? Then it should not give you a no additional software error message in the app loader... I can't think of a reason why it would still give that error.

If you call alltel for support, be sure to ask for a BB tech first.

So, really stupid question. What applications are you trying to install when you're using the app loader? I'm sorry if that's a dumb question...just curious.
