I have a Seidio clip/holster for my pearl and I would like to be able to use the media player and sprint tv while the phone is in the holster. I want to be able to use the pearl when I go to the gym and just clip it to my belt. Problem is the phone goes to sleep when it is in the holster. Any way to disable this?

I personally don't use a holster but I believe this should work for you...

My VZW Pearl does not respond to the command above. Even if I do this:
Options>Security Options>General Settings>Lock Handheld Upon Holstering:No
the unit is locked when in the holster. I hope the slightly newer software from Sprint is better and allows this to work.

Don't get your hopes up on Sprint Software.

And I don't know a way to make it not sleep but I will keep my eyes and ears open.

Locking and sleeping are not the same thing. Locking when holstered enables the key lock. It has nothing to do with the sleep function. AFAIK, RIM does not provide for disabling the sleep function, other than providing the choice of whether or not holstering ends calls.

Or, don't use the holster. Get one of those hard plastic see-thru cases...
