Even the iPhone doesn't have flash support... I was reading an article about it earlier today or yesterday about this topic. They were saying that the architecture of adobe flash is very difficult to integrate.
I was reading that too, sunkast! Interesting article! I had no idea it depended so much on ARM architecture, I thought it'd be something like Java and easy to port since the PSP has flash (and an ARM processor). I highly doubt we'll be seeing Flash on the BB, plus the fact that it's a business, not consumer-oriented device enough.
Here's that article. It's more about flash and the iphone, but the principal is still the same.
Steve Jobs pans Flash on the iPhone
I'm new to this forum but will likely be contributing regularly now that i've discovered it.
I may be out in left field, but i also own a BB pearl 8100 and although i haven't bought any games for it, there are web sites out there selling flash games for the BB. bplay.com
is this the same thing you guys are talking about? does anyone know if this works?
I'm not able to watch any YouTube videos using Opera Mini, but when I log into m.youtube.com with the BB browser I have no problem.
i have an 8100 and cant get it to work by using m.youtube.com it says the protocol for this handheld is unavailable. but i have a friend who has had to different phones not bb and has been able to watch you tube on his phones. and one was a rinky dink P.O.S. so i dont understand why the bb 8100 cant.
i have a bb 8100 with tmobile, no problems using m.youtube.com videos start right away.
i would try calling your provider and talking to tech support.

If you upgrade to os 4.5, then the mobile youtube site and other streaming media sites will work.

Confirmed. On OS revision 4.5 one can view m.youtube.com just fine. It isn't flash however. They are using h263 or h264 to stream the video. And the new videoplayer does fullscreen as well!
I hope this helps.
