I had to upgrade (my 8100 died a sudden death) and bought the 8110. It has older software than the 8100 and seems very slow. I thought the 8110 would be an improvement over the 8100. Has anyone else experienced problems with the 8110?

If you say that it is slow and has older software version why not upgrade the software? Also make sure that you are completely closing out of things by hitting menu and then close.

The sales rep at the AT&T store told me that the 8110 is only available w/4.3 software. I also emailed AT&T customer care (right ...) and got the same answer

OK then, I would say that it could be an application that might be slowing it down. Have you added any applications on the the bb lately?

No, in fact, I deleted BrickBreaker.

What is your file free showing? You can go to options and then to status then file free. youc an alos try a battery pull and see if it is moving a little better after that.

mine seemed sluggish when i got it too. but after i installed 4.5.0.124 it sped RIGHT up. go to the stickys and find out how to get .124 and you'll be a happy camper. yes att did take away 4.5 after about 3 months of having it released but they said it was conflicting with their network i talked to a guy yesterday about it and he said that atts software was conflicting w/ bb's and they didn't want to change... so far i've done 0 battery pulls in the last month! enjoy! hope this helps

Yes you can also try this, go ahead an update the device...you will be much happier.

It's a transflash or MicroSD card same thing...
