In case anyone was wondering if there was a way to get the 8100 to use the older TMO Zen theme, there is a process, and its quite simple.

A member of another forum has posted the procedure on his website:

It took me about 5 minutes to do, and now my pearl has the handy "list" of apps when hitting the menu button instead of the full screen of icons.

If you prefer the list from the 4.2 OS, you will want to do this.

All of the files and steps you need are clearly documented on his website. Credit goes to KRad for posting this great information.

This particular theme wont work for the 8800. The screen size is wrong. Since they never made the list version of this theme for the 8800, we have nothing to go back to. We will have to wait and see if they change it down the road.

The screen of icons was unbearable to me, and almost made me go back to 4.2.0 on the 8100..

I tried using the 8800 for about 2 weeks but found it much to large for my tastes, coming from a Pearl. Im not a holster guy, so I need something that fits easily into my pocket.

Well that clears that up.....

I have to say even the 8300 is coming out, i think i may have to test the 8800.

I'd say go for it, but... to give it a fair shot, you really need to use it for about 1-2 weeks to get used to it.

Well maybe in the future....I nee to see whats happening here with regards to the 8300 - I am due an upgrade in June (the Mrs) and in July (me)

Hi i have an 8100 pearl i can not dl themes using my desktop..can somone help.....when i dl them the appear only in the appli files....if this helps..thanx
