    I tried to download the new 4.5 os from blackberry.com and it comes up and says my BB 8130 Pearl already has the latest software. Upon looking under Options/ About/ it shows v4.3.0.97 (Platform 3.1.0.51) Am I doing something wrong or do I need a upgrade or not. Help a newbie please.

    i'm not sure if the link was taken down or not. it will work fine as long as you follow the instructions and delete the vendor xml file

    Racespotter, go to the top of the 8100 forums, and be sure to follow the install directions. Its os #.81

    no no no. You got to read the post correctly. The OP stated they have a 8130. OS .81 is for GSM models and the 8130 is CDMA.
