If anyone does install it, it might be a good idea to disable Quincy. It seems to send all your info and debug reports to RIM via email.

Edit: Dark camera picture still remains.

I had it on my main menu (looks like a caligraphy pen). If you check your email box you will probably see the log it sent to RIM.

A little tip. If you google for innounp you'll find a tool to unpack the bundled 4.5.0.46 file to get 2 files. 1 being the firmware exe and 1 the internal tools.

    Hope that helps someone

Is the internal tools file quincy, i am guessing by your remark.

Yeah, quincy is inside the internal tools pack. Along with other things like the battery monitor.

This has to be about the gazzillionth post on the same thing!!

And I know the OP has been participating in other threads on the SAME THING!!

So... why create another thread about it?! It makes no sense

And the only thing these dupe posts do... is make people wander in and whine and request for download links. Which isn't even supposed to be permitted on the forums!!

And then, if someone does get their hand on the link to DL the beta release, more than likely they will whine it does not work bug-free... or, even worse, they will brick their Berry and then make some thread stating that 4.5.46 "bricked their Berry"

Sorry for the rant, but this thread is useless!!

Hello All: I installed version 4.5.0.10 on my 8100. It seems to work okay except for the fact that when I receive a message the LED does not turn off unless I turn the power off. Any suggestions on how to fix this problem without having to disable the LED? Regards.

been running .46 for a day now and NO problems! memory leak is under control, i'm holding around 19 MB. still haven't reinserted my mem card, you tube works fine, i'm fairly impressed. html email is sweet, and the browser is on par with opera, maybe better? my version didn't come with quincy and RIM spyware, unless i'm not looking hard enough. now to try mem card and see if i get constant reboot that has plagued me on other betas.

I upgraded my wifes 8100 to .46 from 4.2.2.180 and she loves it! I also memory optimized and she has 30mb FREE, WOW! My 8320 with .46 I could only get to 19mb free. Her HTML email works, youtube, videos, no restarts or glitches. Call quality is way improved as well. Do not be scared to upgrade, why would you not????

Have had .46 for 2 days now and I installed my 2gb mem card. Started having lag and hourglass spinning a lot. Also my voicemail icon doesn't show up and my tmobile moniker changed to trg. Weird, so I took out the card and rebooted. Now no lag but still other issues. I can live with these for now, so overall good beta. I'll keep it until RIM loses another Beta to the rapidshare bandits.
