Does MMS work on this 4.5?

I have Verizon so my mms already worked. I believe mms will come from a service book from sprint and not an os update though. Perhaps some sprint users could chime in on this though.
Many people thought it was an os update that unlocked GPS on Verizon when in fact Verizon just pushed that update to all of us.

I have to say so far I'm not noticing much of a difference over .89 that I was running before. It does seem a little quicker though and I gained a bit of memory which is typical whenever updating the os. But any update is an update and usually better than a previous version. I will post again after further use.

others are saying once you update your sprint os to the 4.5 then go and resend your service books and mms client will be in there and you just have to register it and it should work within a few minutes. someone said all that in a different topic in the sprint forums

Click the link in my 2nd post and then just use the drop down list to pick your phone model, click next and it will direct you from there. This thread was originally for the 8130 but i'm pretty sure the 8330 has an update as well which is what you have according to your info. Hope that helps.

I was running Virgin's 4.5 on my Sprint & my memory was between 9k-6k...I know, too low.
If I was lucky, it would peak at 10k. After the Sprint 4.5 update, I am running 15k no problem! Major memory boost for my Pearl & we finally get MMS!

Help! I'm really new to BlackBerry and am trying to learn. I noticed that this download is from Sprint. Do you have to be a Sprint customer to use this download? I'm in Canada and my provider isn't a company that anyone outside of my province would be using. Thanks a lot for your help.

So I have never updated to a non-vendor OS before and I thought I'd give this one a shot. My DM won't upgrade my phone. I downloaded and installed 131, deleted my vendor.xml file, but DM says no new version available.

    What did I miss?

You don't have to use DM. You can just run Loaded.exe from the same folder the vendor.xml is in.

Okay, that worked......sort of. It has been stuck on "Connect to the device ROM" for the better part of an hour. How long do I give it? And what would I do if it doesn't ever get by that step?
