I searched on this topic a bit, but couldn't find a definite answer. I have a verizon 8130 that I want to give to my brother in law, but he has sprint. Since verizon and sprint are both CDMA, can he activate and use this phone?

Not to sure if you can or not. Probably your best bet is to have your bro in law give sprint a call and ask.

your verizon phone is probably locked to verizon. the only way it might work is if you had the phone unlocked.
