It keeps looking for a U drive and then stops the install wizard. Help!

I've heard this a few times before but don't have the references bookmarked. Do you recall the exact text of the error? I'll see if I can find a solution if you can provide the exact error message for me.

Did what was listed and now I get a new error:

Error 1606 Could not access network location %USERPROFILE%:\My Pictures\.

I got the same error as you after I changed the name like one of the other people suggested. I ended up just deleting that entry. Make sure you back up your registry beforehand though. Better safe than sorry
