    Pop out trackball, place some colored transparent material over the LED, reassemble trackball...

    I read this & I thought how it might be taken so I had to say something. Personally it made me laugh.

    McB is not being sarcastic. That is the only way to change the trackball color in your device. There is only ONE color LED. I forget which model BB actually has more colors; but yours doesnt.

    Hi, I just did alot of researching on this subject, due to just buying a pearl 8130 also, and you cant change the trackball color on this model, only on the 8100! I for one think thats crap, but apparently RIM didnt want to make the other pearls like the original! Hope this helps!

    I was being serious... and the 8100 Pearl is the only one that can be changed using the ColorPearl app. (all other Berries need to have a manual modification, such as what I detailed above)
