I have been searching and searching...
Can I unlock a tmo 8120 and use my at&t sim/service?
I came across one thread that said a tmo won't allow an at&t sim to be used in it, something about a specific tmo IMEI#.?.

Yes you can, That is one of the points to unlocking a GSM phone.
I don't know the thread you are referencing but what it led you to
believe is completely incorrect.

From most of what I've read I thought you could, but here is the thread that threw me for a loop, started by tinnot - 8120 shuts down after unlocking HELP?
