Just got an email from RIM saying that I had updates ready. I am with AT&T and have been waiting for the official software to come out. Well, It's installing 4.5.110 on my phone as I'm typing this. Yeah!!! You can get it at BlackBerry - Update your Device Software

Reason: updated version, i left the .0. out.
I also got the email, but going to the site myself, and also via your link only gives the option of 4.3.0.93...what gives???? Haven't we been waiting long enough already
Well, the install failed 3 times. On the fourth try the loader came back and said I was already running the latest version, 4.3.0.93. The other times it showed the new version. I guess they changed their minds. What a tease AT&T!
Below is the email I got. I did chop off the part to update which phone I have. I think that AT&T pulled it back because it wouldn't install. Like I said before, it tried to install the new version on my phone three times. On the fourth try, it said i had the latest version.

It looks like the email states you pretty much have to have BES service on your Berry too, in order for those updates to apply. Man, they're slow with providing useful updates. I guess they prefer you to buy the newest blackberries which already have those updated items preinstalled in the OS.

It's not working for me either. At&T is the worst on the planet when it comes to this. EVERY OTHER COMPANY IN THE WORLD HAS 4.5 OUT! What the heck is the problem!!!!??? I just don't understand. Every pearl user should refuse to pay their bill until this is released. I'm actually going to call customer service now and file a complaint, not that it will do any good. Do you people realize that if it weren't for this site, none of us would be on 4.5 yet? This is odd because I find ATT to be very good with most other things, as far as service is concerned.
I just got a repeat of the upgrade notification email. Not able to check if its the real deal or another tease but thought I'd let all you eager anticipators know!

It finally came out. I got an email today at work, again, saying that I had updates. This time it installed right the first time. I can't believe it took them so long to release it to us.
It took about an hour, but my AT&T 8110 is now running 4.5.0.110. Real quick, I just went to youtube and watched a video and then opened a word document and edited it. YES!!! I don't see any difference in the email. I still get links instead of pictures in my email. Isn't that what the HTML email was going to fix?
It works on my AT&T 8120!!! Yay! Ok, I was a skeptic for the longest time because I've read of people bricking their phones from trying to upgrade, but I decided to try it this time, and the upgrade to 4.5 works great! You should go to the Blackberry site to find the link to upgrade your device. It will take about 40 minutes, but is totally worth it, and it is pretty seamless...no need to delete vendor files or anything - just let it upgrade your device software from the USB connection, unplug the phone after it is done, and you're good to go!
Here's what I noticed after the upgrade:
The good:
1) You can watch YouTube streaming video from the m.youtube.com site.
2) You get real HTML email after you resend your service books
3) You get a better browser
4) Your free memory increases by quite a bit - mine went up from 20 to 25mb
The bad:
1) The phone lags a bit noticeably more than before. (ie. moving from application to application or viewing pics from your media card, for example). But maybe this is because it was right after the phone reset. EDIT: the lag did clear up after a while, and the OS is running just as fast as before the upgrade. Yeah!
2) You lose the "fill screen" function within the photo viewer.
I can live with both of these negatives, so all in all a totally worthwhile upgrade. Go for it if you haven't already!!
