Is there any way to use the light for the camera as a spotlight whenever needed? Is there a way to trigger it without using the video camera?

No. But there is a program for the LCD screen, to use it like a flashlight. I don't recall what the name of it is though.

If you go to http://software.crackberry.com and do a search using the box at the top right of the screen for:

flashlight

you should get a couple that come up. The cheapest one is $1.49 at Flashlight! for BlackBerry - 30 MINUTES Edition - Blackberry

I bought the flashlight that GEEKNJ talk about and I don't find it very good. I prefer to use the flash of the camera instead.
