    This is the most frustrating thing and I can't possibly be the only one who has been experiencing this.

    Since I've had my verizon 8130, whenever I go into a train tunnel and lose service, it takes about five minutes for data to become available after regaining my signal. Texts don't come through or go out, the web is dead, etc.

    Super annoying, considering that I'm on two trains with tunnels per day. So that's 20 minutes or so per day where I have a signal, but can't use my phone. Any solutions?

    I've noticed the same thing, or at least something similar. I have to manually turn the data services back on.

    I had that problem with Cingular back in the day with my dumb-phone (not a bb). I'd usually just power off the phone and power it back on and it worked fine. Try grabbing QuickPull off of App world it's free and just reboots your phone. Not a super fast way to restore service but a lot quicker than 20 minutes I'd say.
