    Hi guys i have a mp3 file set as my ring tone. But when i ring my blackberry from my home phone the ring tone takes a very long time to start. Does anyone know how to fix this? I want it to start ringing immediately. There is about 10 seconds of silence whilst the screen flashes showing the incoming call, then only after 10 seconds does the phone start ringing.

    Would appreciate any help.

    Do you have vibrate+tone selected? The device will vibrate first and then ring. This can make for very short ringtones.
