I just followed john clarks thread, and I am not real computer savy, it went really smooth, and I gained sooo much memory!! Totally worth it, take them up on their offer of help, you won't be sorry!!
This sounds fantastic if you run windows. What can you do if you use a Mac with pocketmac. I want to remove unwanted pictures for my BB Pearl 8130.
Thanks
Yes you can skip to those steps. Just tons of different memoret free-up options. I went through it then I've gone back and put things back on then taken things back off

i did it! well some of it, i wasnt sure how to delete themes, i only want to keep the icon theme, the others can go, but I couldnt figure out which cod files to erase. can someone help?
Okay since last time I attempted to follow that thread I completely f'd up my phone... if I want to delete ONLY the preloaded pictures, can someone tell me specifically what files to delete? Please?
I looked at all the carriers and it only has one Sprint, and the version doesn't match. My version is 4.2.2176. Does that matter or should I stick with my own version? I just want to get rid of those pre-loaded pictures, but it says I have to download the OS first to my desktop.
Why do they lock those in the first place? It just takes up too much memory.
no you don't have to download the os you just need to delete the vendor xml file as instructed in his thread then you can delete the file that contains the pictures
I tried to follow those steps and I nvere found that vendor.xlms file in my computer I have memory but I think I'm a dunce and don't know how to read how much I have. I know it says free available 5362549. How much is that or how do u determine?
