I've got a Pearl 8110 that has some LED activity but never boots up.

When I plug it into the PC via USB, I hear the connecting/disconnecting noises Windows makes.... over and over again.

It never shows up in Device Manager either.

As far as what caused it- no idea. I didn't try flashing it or anything.

Where should I go from here?

I had a similar problem long time ago with my first 8100. I took it to a cell phone store and they said my board was fried! not worth fixing

I saw that but it mentioned the Device Manager. Which hence my question... If the Device Manager doesn't detect it am I pretty much SOL?

Dumb thing to check, but does the comp recognise that your berry is connected? A friend was having computer problems that we tracked down to a loose connection inside his usb port... So try that. As well with my current skin I have to make sure I plug in completely or I'm not going to get very far
