Does anyone know if there is a piece of software for the blackberry 8130 that will make it work like a modem like the pda net for treo?????

I tether my pearl to my laptop via Verizon's interface, but of course you pay a monthly fee or build it into a package.

I had that for one month free, however one of my business associates told me about this pda net software that he bought one time fee and his treo now functions as a broadband modem at his house to the laptop. I was wondering if there is a piece of software out there that is made for the blackberry that can accomplish this pda net one time purchase and not pay a monthly fee to Verizon?
