    Hi -
I just installed opera mini on my VZW 8130. Every time I open the application and try to go to any web page I get a pop up that says
"The application Opera Mini has attempted to access server4.operamini.com. Would you like to allow this?" This has a Yes/No choice with no other options. Is there a way to prevent this from appearing everytime?

    thanks!!!!

Go to Options > Advanced Options > Applications > Highlight opera mini and choose edit permissions. Make sure they are set to allow. If they are set to allow than there is nothing more you can do.

I have the same problem on my curve. Despite the application permissions being set to allow, I still get the allow or deny connection dialog.

Thanks, I tripled checked and everything is set to allow and I'm still getting the problem. I guess it is a bug in opera mini.

The weird thing is that I don't remember getting this in the prior version of the software.

    thanks

One more question...like I said I'm on verizon and there are certain pages it won't let me browse to. For example tmz.com, but pages like myspace work.

If I switch it to mobile view tmz comes up. Is there a setting that I'm missing?

This is in Opera Mini? There should be no reason why it would work one way but not the other.

yes opera mini 4.0 I very confused on this one.

I tried unistalling the app and re-installing. I even tried using version 3.* and that works with no issue.

    It's just weird!

Have you tried enabling the firewall in Security Options? Sometimes that helps.

You're not the only person with this problem. I have had it since installing Opera Mini 4.0, and I have tried a few times to go through the application privileges and such to fix it. No dice. I'm hoping that 4.1 fixes it, and may download the beta to check.

Ditto -- different text, same general idea (something about "the browser tried to access a low-level network service").

Make sure your BlackBerry browser emulation mode is set to BlackBerry. Then go to mini.opera.com and download from there. You will be presented with the unsigned 4.1 version. If you really want 4.0, you might be able to get it from that page as well.
