Still says I have an Incorrect Link, is there a way of Navigating to these pages? seems like you would have to have an Alltel Account.

After deciding to stop being so lazy and actually go look for it. I was able to browse around the site and find Alltels download page.

It's running good on my 8130. The "wake up" lag is gone, too! So far, so good.

For install instruction to load any carrier 8130 OS on your BB:
    1. Download desired OS to your PC
    2. Install/run OS to PC
    3. Delete vendor.xml file. It's located in c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader (dont need to if your on AllTel)
    4. Connect BB to Desktop Manager and it should prompt the upgrade. If not click app loader and that should initialize it c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploade.
    5. Do not unplug BB during the process. It will take around 30-60 minutes to complete upgrade.

I did notice something interesting. I did a backup of my phone yesterday morning then i found out about the update. So i updated my phone (run's great so far) well i forgot to save out my waypoints from B*. So when updating phone they were lost. So i thought that maybe I'd get lucky and there on my backup i did. Well come to find out, my back up didn't backup any of my 3rd party programs. I thought that what backup was for???????

When updating the desktop manager came up with a fatal error message that said to try again. So I tried again... twice. I even tried downloading the other update (160 from alltell) and installing it. That gave me the same error. Does anybody have a suggestion?

i am having the same problem, but when my error message came up it gave me a debug option, so i clicked that, now I am going to try to download the new (169) update again (for the 3rd time) I will post how it goes

Do a search of all threads on how to back up 3rd party apps. Go back to crackberry home page and type in. "back up 3rd party app" under search
