Disconnect your internet before you start the upgrade, and do a search for any vendor.xml, you might be fine.

I find it hard to believe someone can find CrackBerry using Google,
yet couldn't find their "heat seeking moisture missile" in a speedo once they get here.

So is this better than .161/.162? I have .162 installed. Is this going to be faster even though the platform is older?

What exactly does it mean to have a lower platform version but a higher OS version? What impact would this have on an "upgrade"?

    Yes

As best I can tell, it uses some older cod files, along with an older radio file, but newer alx, so you have a better signal, faster system, and more file free memory. It's like they built a hybrid, which is good. I wanted to, but was too lazy.

What's the verdict on this one? Are people finding it more stable than .162?

Haven't tested it yet, OS 161 is more stable than 162; not a single crash.

Just updated from 161 to 163, I have to say loading times are faster than ever. Loading my musics are much FASTER than 161.

    so far no memory leak.

If you are using DM 4.7/5.0 absolutely.

Seems like a good build. Running it since the day it was posted here. I have very seldomly experienced crashes even with older versions and this one seems to be just as good as the others.
I upgraded from the "newer" cores because the 161 and 162 were not multi-language. With some manual clean up got over 24mb free memory.
