while updating the phone for the 1st time, during the end of the update a error msg. pops up and says there was a error reloading software etc etc... and to try and reload manually, im paraphrasing because I don't remember the exact words used.
the phone is completely dead cant turn off cant make calls, dead.
the screen shows:

3.4.0.51
AddressBook
Alarm
Compose
Options
SavedMessages

problem is i cant access any of it. the computer does not recognize the phone any more, and wont reload the backup that was created during the update. Called Alltel Tech Support and got no help.

Help please.

thanks for your response, but i already tried that it did not work on her phone. but that has worked on my phone in the past.

i gave in to the phone and returned it to the store for a new one, they said the phone was "fried", and gave me a new one, problem solved.
