I have a 2gig micro SD for my pearl and am having troubles getting the phone to read the card. It tells me I have to make sure the card is formatted so thats what I do. In the process an error message appears saying the formatting failed! The card works fine in my computer but the phone is stubborn. Any advice?
A 2gb media card would only be labeled as MicroSD. SDHC stands for Secure Digital High Capacity. It is a label used for Secure Digital cards that have a capacity of 4gb or higher. Smaller SD chips will only be labeled SD.
If you can, on your computer, try formatting the card to FAT16.
make sure that you are putting it in correctly. The little metal part on the card (where it reads it) will be showing up, not down like you would normally think. So the metal should be facing the screen when putting it in. Maybe thats your problem
I hade a problem trying to have my pearl read my sd card so i ended up geting a different one and it was able to read that one.. Kingston i think it was called 2 gig
