From what I've read here, 4g is the highest that fully functions. 8g will install, but all 8 isn't recognized and only good for 2-4 anyway. Just what I've read - 2g is plenty for me.

Not true.
I have an 8gb card that functions with 7.6 available for usage.
I've formatted and filled 3 gigs of it.
The rest is still available for use.
But I have OS 4.3.0 also so I can use all of the space.

First off you might want to hit refresh on your browser after you post, don't ask me how I know.
With the latest version OS it will support an 8 gig, but anything over 2 gig unless you have a newer pc, will probably not be natively supported on your PC.
Amazon has about the best price going now at around $54. They also have usb High Density card reader adapters, that will let most all pc's read the bigger cards, they run about $10.
I picked up a 4gig + reader combo a couple months ago for $34.
If you go to buy.com they have a 4GB card for 24.95 with free shipping, and I think if you use google checkout you get an additional $10 off. I was only able to find one 8GB card on their site for $70 i think with a reader.
I got the scandisk 6gb with usb card adapter for my bb. Format the micro card then throw it in the usb reader and go crazy. I have downloaded about 15tv shows and over 300 songs and that took up about 2.5 gigs. Got it off Amazon for around $40 with S/H.

That's about where i'm at 275 songs, the first season of the sopranos and a couple of vid clips and i'm just over 2 gig.
It's funny, these little, can't handle without dropping things, have more memory available, then a couple of pc's I still use, have.
