    What is the ideal amount of memory you should have free on your pearl?
    5417499 bytes free file on mine is that good or bad?

    Another question what is service book? i deleted some stuff from there like trooper typing if i delet stuff from here will it free up memory?

    That is 5.4 mb free. It is not bad but could be better. Use this link to help you increase your file free memory.

    I just thought I might ask you....how do I find out how much memory I have? I'm new and still trying to find out all of this stuff.

    You should have at least 10MB of File Free Memory for your BB to perform to it's full potential. My 8120 use to "twitch" once I would get below 8MB.

    Go to options>status and look at the file free number. Remember 1 mb is equal to 1,000,000 bytes.

    i have no bytels of memmory on status but have had a media 8 mb memmory card in a while and it is still totally free how can i send everything over to it to free my normal memmory
