Hi everyone,

My 30 day trial of JiveTalk is about to expire and I'm looking for an instant messaging application to replace it with.

For some reason I cannot download Windows Live messenger onto my BlackBerry 8130... what else is out there? Possibly something free instead of just a trial? JiveTalk has been awesome for me but I don't want to spend any more on my BlackBerry than I already have!!! LOL.

i use a program by shape services its called im+ it cost 44.99 if i buy it from telus or 49.99 from then and its awsome program it has all the messaging platforms and also you get life time license with it and free upgrades.

I installed that IM+ program when I first got my Pearl late last month and the damn thing went into constant reboot mode. I had to lose everything and reinstall everything on the phone.

I would stick with Jive Talk, it's the best one out there. And for 29.99 you can put it on any device you buy, forever.

I've been holding out hoping RIM will release their AIM & LIVE chat clients for the 8130 AND that VZW will allow push of the service books, but not looking like that's going to happen anytime in near future so I may as well just pull the trigger and purchase JiveTalk.
