i downloaded a program and i have the .alx and .cod file now what do i do??? how do i install these

Connect your phone to your pc, and run desktop manager. Go into the application loader, and browse for the *.alx file, and click ok. Then click ok in the application loader, and desktop manager will then install the program onto your BB.

Nope it didn't work. I can't get this invoice program to install. Somebody please help me. I have no idea what to do................!
