under my options, "my status" menu brings up "currently i am available or unavailable" not a pin number. &when i type in "mypin" in a text with a space, nothing comes up. my "options" menu brings up "vibrate when recieving a ping: yes etc. etc. etc."

i can request others via their pins but i still can't find mine. super newb. help???

Go to options on the phone, not in BB Messenger.

Type "mypin " in a text without the quotes. The space is required. Also, Options/status from the home screen, not from messenger, will show you your pin.

What theme are you using?

But Settings->Options->Status
Should bring it up along with some other usefull info like battery status and file free. Someone also post a shortcut to bring it up but I forgot it. Alzhiemers must be kicking in.

Do you see the list of autotext entries that start with "m"? Is myver present?

I thought about that, but I checked and myver worked on my 8830 with autotext both disabled and enabled, so I didn't mention it. I'm still puzzling about that, but I'm glad you got yours working.
