    Good question.

    BlackBerry does a great job of managing memory, until it runs low.

    One major improvement in v4.5xx is the ability to set Device Reserved Memory to 5 Mb. That frees up an additional 7 Mb compared to earler OS versions.

    The newest official Sprint OS for the 8130 is 4.3. The 4.5 is from a different carrier but can still be used on your Sprint 8130 you just have to delete the vendor.xml file. I personally have 4.5.097 from Verizon installed on my Sprint 8130, runs great.

    There is no magic #. Some apps use more memory than others. It just depends on your free memory.
