Hey, i am trying to update my pearls firmware to sprints .71 from verizon .60

I downloaded/installed to the 4.3.0.71 sprint file and am using 4.3 desktop manager and I cant figure out how to update my handset.... if i sync them it doesn't change the version. Any ideas....does it matter what desktop manager i use (i am using verizon's out of box 4.3)

Go to (C) drive> Program Files> Common Files> Research In Motion> AppLoader and delete the "vendor XML file", then when you connect your BB, it should ask you to update.

mine isnt set up like that. mine i C>program files>RIM>Blackberry then its a whole bunch of other stuff....

If you installed the OS package then use the path that zerog posted. Make sure you get it correct:

c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader

don't forget the "common files" folder.

Does Sprint's update remove the confirmation prompt when entering standby (press and hold mute button on top of the device)?

Not sure....but I know the confirmation prompt is gone in 4.3.1 so there's hope down the road, if it's not in there now.
