What is the correct process for removing the device? I continually get an error in Outlook that says that the RIM did not properly close the Outlook .pst file after I eject it and then close the desktop manager.

I'd recommend closing Desktop Manager first, then stopping the BB from the USB system tray icon. If you mouse over it, it says "Safely Remove Hardware." Click on it and click on the appropriate entry in the list. Then unplug the device.

If that doesn't work, you may want to try closing Outlook first, and possibly scanning your .pst file for errors.

If you're using Outlook 2000, that is a common error. But, rrrebo's process is correct...

Many thanks, will advise of what action corrects the issue. You'd think this would be in the user manual. // E
