hey guys i've recieved a couple texts from this number... 118012222269 and all the darn thing says is.. //BREW:0104F4BC:OZMAILCI=024DD296201A8BC987233EDA61F 03C15MC=1 Ok i was polite to this entity and said who is this? 1st... they responded with the same message i send back i'm sorry i can't understand what your writing... same responce then i say what? followed by seriously who is this? followed by what? followed by dude all i see is munbers and my last responce was i can't see what you are sending just e-mail me... all of which got me the same annoying responce please help...
Sounds like spam. A lot of that going around these days. Pretty sad when you phone is infected with it. I keep receiving spam from one of my contacts with nothing in the text and she says she is not sending them. All its doing is using up my text messages. Try calling your provider.

Well I registered just to tell the outcome of the same problem I was having.
I called Verizon, Make sure you are on the phone with the Blackberry or PDA support team. What they did was turned my Blackberry off and turned my old phone back on. I went into the get it now feature and deleted my mail account. After that we turned my Blackberry back on and the problem was fixed. It took a whole 20 mins to fix the problem...

We just went through this ourselves. We just upgraded to the BB after using a "Get it Now" capable phones and having Mobile Mycast downloaded. We had them set for alerts to be sent to our phones. We never canceled our subscription and for days, we were receiving messages like the ones above. After thinking about it, they use the "brew" apps and those were the alert banners they were sending.
Finally figured it out! Go to Setup...Email Set UP....add a filter to include 118012222269..add another to include oz....and another to include brew...should cover any and all of those messages (the mc value is different on different ones). No more SMS messages from BREW!
When I got my new phone I started receiving unsolicited texts from some flirting site...then on my first bill I was being charged for this "service" so I found one of the old messages and replied "stop" and got a message back stating that I had unsubscribed from thier service! NO more charges...
