I want to know how to -
turn the key tones off while dialing a phone number,
Turn the shutter sound off in camera mode,
Make it ring in my bluetooth headset/play all sounds through bluetooth headset,
use A/V remote control.
I'm not familiar with your A/V remote control question, but regarding the others:
- Keytones are silent only in the Quiet & Vibrate Profiles, can't turn them off in the others.
- The camera shutter can not be silenced at all.
- All your phone sounds should be heard through your BT headset, if you mean stereo BT music, you need to be using A2DP compatible BT headphones(both ears)... not the one ear BT headset.
ahh... the A/V control must be specific to Alltel, I don't have it in my VZW 8130 BT menu.
GG, I was wondering the same, but it's there, just not sure what it does or how to use it. It's under options in Bluetooth. Scroll to the bottom, services, last entry.
Really? It all played just fine on my last phone. Granted, my last phone came out when the first razr was out.
It should still play, lets say, the preloaded ringtone for email shouldn't it?

I realized last night that even the incoming call ringtone is not playing in my headset. It just beeps. I just find it hard to believe that to hear "Notifier_Caffeine" you have to have a stereo headset.
I heard that somewhere there was a link to a java mod or hack that would allow the ringtones to come through the Curve's headset. I really need for this to be a reality if there is a fix available. I work in a job where I can't have the phone ringing at certain times and I can't be switching profiles every few minutes.
Sorry to resurrect this thread but I have an Alltel Pearl and Moto HT820 headset. The headset and remote AV service works fine but NO music, audio from videos, etc. comes thru the HT820. Only through the headset or speakerphone.
Services show:
Hands-Free unit
Headset
A/V Remote Control
Audio Sink
Any ideas what I can do to use my headset the way it is supposed to be used? New to BB. Coming from WM (PPC6800 was latest) and this is actually the ONE area my 6800 shined. Other than this slight hiccup, I'd give anything to have gone with a BB YEARS ago!!! Many lost years tweaking and rebooting on WM and Palm devices!!
