hey i am finally in the right forum. i have an 8130... of course i thought it was an 8310 for some reason. that just shows you how new i am to this stuff.
anyway, i have a problem with the blue tooth in my car. i have my phone set to discoverable and it is enabled. i can see the little icon at the top of the screen. after it sits for a few minutes in the car, the icon is gone.
i thought maybe it was the phone but this weekend it was on the whole time while in my other car and the icon never went out.
i assume the car drops the signal and this makes the phone disable the blue tooth connection. if i go in and enable it, everything hooks back up. then a few minutes later after the screen goes out and all, it disables again.
i am now thinking since my phone picks up and then just drops that it is losing the signal from the car which makes it disconnect. would an external antenna help with this? and how would i get one to hook up?
