Hello all...first post here, but I have found this forum very useful!
Is there any way to increase the number of characters I can put in an SMS message? I wouldn't mind, even if the texts arrived split up, like I sometimes get from other users. Is there an application for this, or a way to override the 160 characters I am allowed to txt?
Sorry to say no.
That's the whole idea of sms. Short Messages.
With some carriers you can keep typing and it will go to message 2, 3, automatically. But I don't think it will work on a BB.
That stinks, but thanks for your quick response! I would think there was a way to at least keep typing...or some kind of application I can download or SOMETHING....Oh well!!
Yup, unfortunately the 8130 is not EMS(Enhanced Message Service) capable, only SMS(Short Message Service)... so we're stuck with the 160 max, no way round it.
Yeah I wished it would just create another message for you instead of having to stop send then start another one. Unfortunately most people I know dont have a Berry so I cant send them an email.
