You can also hold down alt, right upper case and del much easier than removing the battery to reboot.

Alt-right Shift-Del fixes the zoom problem! However, it also deletes your wallpaper and your wall "logo/name". But it works!

On vaca in Ocean City MD when my BB 8530.I was very upset so I searched and found this forum. Tried the Alt-RightShift-Del reset and it works so far.
Now I will always check here first when I have a problems. Thanks everyone
