I am trying to connect my device(8120) to my pc, via usb cord. The phone recognizes that its plugged into a usb port, b/c it starts charging. However, the BBDM still says "disconnected". I have already tried... Options, conn. options, usb, DETECT.... and it says 'no device detected' or something.

ANYONE who has an idea, or someone familiar with troubleshooting BBDM, please help. thanks ahead of time for any responses.

I have the same problem... battery pull no fixy. Tried several cables

I would try uninstalling, rebooting, and reinstalling DM to see if it fixes the issue.

just as a follow up for those who offered help... it turned out that the cord i bought from best buy, was ONLY a charger usb cord. It was designed ONLY to charge the device....it had no data transfer ability. So that explains why windows didn't even react when it was plugged in. I bought the original cord from t mobile today, and sure enough it worked. so to anyone that has similar issue, i would reccommend using the blackberry cord.
