Hi, I am new here and to my blackberry 8120 and am trying to get the most from the battery life. I do not have a data plan so some applications are not needed. I do need WiFi on so I can get a signal in my house. I have the lastest software version 4.5.0.124 tmobile and have turned off GPS and Bluetooth. I deleted AIM, Google talk, Windows Live, Yahoo mess. I turned the screen down to 50% and 20 seconds. Any other applications I should get rid of or other tricks to optimize the phone?

Here is a battery app from the store here at Crackberry. Check out the list of features. It will run you a few bucks, but might be worth it.

Close apps from the menu to prevent running in the background.

Reduce screen brightness and make the timeout shorter.

There are other tidbits in the Tips and FAQ forum.
