    Help!!!!!

I was listening to music on my 8130 and it locked up....no problem,,,I pulled the battery and now it hangs up while verifying security software. I have pulled the battery at least 10 times. I even left it (battery) out for over 5 minutes! It still sticks while verifying the security software!!!

    Help?

    Matt

uhhhh no....no back up...I did not buy the phone from verizon...I got it from a buddy. Do you think they will take it back?

Is the phone under a year old? If so, its still under warranty. BUT - vzw will not take it back as long as you have 4.5 running, as they do not support it.

As for getting all your apps back, you'll need to redownload them, seeing as you didn't backup your device.

well make up your mind. do you want to bring it back, or get your old apps back? lol

also, when you upgraded you didn't click that box to automatically back up your BB?

If you want to take the device back, yes.

As far as warranty exchange hopefully they won't verify that you aren't the original owner because I don't think the warranty is transferable. But if you have insurance then if the warranty is void it won't matter jusr be sure to wipe the BB and load the carriers OS on it. But if reloading the OS fixes the problem I see no reason to go through a replacement process.

Its unfortunate you didn't back anything up prior to or during the process. The backup processes seem to be very through. So as a future reminder you should backup before doing anything major on your BB on top of regular weekly or even daily backups depending on how much new stuff is added in need of backup.
