I have my address book in .csv format on my computer. When I need to make changes, especially, lots of them I use that. Been working great so far.
Just now, I did that and when I synced with the new file, I lost all the members in one of my address book groups. This sucks.
Is there anyway to prevent this from happening again? Better yet, is there a way to create and edit groups or distribution lists for email on my computer and upload that to the BlackBerry.
I have a similar issue, but not exactly with syncing. I was effing about with the new 8130 i recently got, and somehow I am permantly stuck on the "groups" screen in the address book. For a while I could still access my contacts by beginning to type an entry from the main screen, but as far as editing everytime I go to the address book there is an apparent landing screen that says
Find:
*No Addresses*
and that is it. I cannot exit out of this whatsoever. Everything else works fine, it's not FROZEN, its just as if it is the main screen of my Address book, being apparently blank, rather than listing all of my contacts. However, if I go to options all my contacts still exist in the phone somewhere, I just can't access them.
Any tips? Do I need a wipe ya think?
I'm pretty tech savvy but after days of research and hopeless Verizon support I'm afraid i'm lost.
