I have the 8120 with Tmobile, and OS v4.5.0.124 (for several months) with no problems. Just recently, the sound will stop working on my phone, causing my alarm to not go off, and me be late for everything. It won't play music or the alarm (haven't tried making a call when it's in this state). A soft reboot fixes the problem, but it always returns between when I go to sleep, and when I'm supposed to wake up. Any ideas as to what's happening? I REALLY need to get this fixed.
I have the same issue with the alarm but only when it is plugged in to the charger, which is every night. This has been going on for three mornings now.

I have a 8130 but the same thing happened to me. What I did was I took out the battery, let it sit for a few minutes, blew out any dust in there, and inserted the battery again and it worked again! Strange, but it worked!
