Hey everyone, I have a few questions.

    1. I can't get blackberry maps to work on my 8120. I load it but it doesn't show up in applications.

    2. If I got this to work, is there anyway to use wifi hot spots and cellphone towers to determine my location? Im aware that the 8120 doesn't have a gps chip. Thanks!

If you have a data plan, try Google Maps Mobile. It's much better and includes many more options.

Google Maps will triangulate your position based on cell towers.

I stand corrected. You actually download Google Maps to your BB. You don't have to have a data plan to use it. Now, the other options (such as traffic) I think you would have to access the web in one form or another. Also, the triangulation is nowhere near the accuracy as the GPS but at least it will point you in the right direction.
