So I am visiting Edmonton for work and I saw a billboard here claiming that Bell has both the Pearl and Curve available in 3G, the 8130 and the 8330...

Is this true? I thought the Pearl and Curve had only Edge capability...

The Blackberry Bold was the first BB to have 3G. The "3G" on the Curve and Pearl isn't true 3G so it is false advertising. I think its EVDO which reaches close to 3G speeds but its not true 3G, IIRC.

Bell and Telus are both 3G but it's 3G CDMA, not GSM.
