I'm a one-hander. Got other things to do with the other hand, usually.
As for cleaning:
Canned air for a quick clean and electronic-specific, microfiber wipes for when I take it apart and "spring" clean it.
I clean mine with eyeglass cleaner as well. Just spray a little on a soft cloth and wipe the whole front of your berry. I noticed it gets the oils off the trackball and it moves a lot more freely.

One hander and I'm quite good at it too since its my left and I'm a righty by nature. I'll also use both occasionally. I clean it with a microfiber cloth.
...get those "special" tissues/cloths used for laptop screens and such....sometimes I just wipe the screen off with a clean t-shirt. Once you have a skin on the BB you dont really have to worry.
