Anyone getting their yahoo emails on pull only? My previous 9930 was configured for push on yahoo and a lot faster.

Yahoo has been pull since the start of BB10. Apparently they don't use the standard IMAP IDLE protocol. That was one of the many reasons for me to switch to Outlook as my primary email provider.

Yep, my business emails are run by yahoo and has only been pull since BB10 came out. Pretty frustrating.

It's not pushed. It syncs in timed intervals

It means that the phone has to periodically poll the email server to see if there are any new emails. If so then it downloads or 'pulls' the messages from the server. This is the opposite of 'push' where the server automatically sends the messages to the phone when they are delivered to the server.

In addition to the time delay between polls, this causes the phone to use more battery since it wastes energy when the phone polls and there is nothing to pull from the server.

What you can do is increase the time intervals, and just refresh your hub manually.

Nope. I am using the free email with IMAP. The problem is that their implementation of push on IMAP only works with iOS, and not with the standard implementation that any other mobile operating system uses. Also keep in mind that Marisa Mayer refused to issue her employees BlackBerrys. Google these two issues...

So my hack workaround is to do 5 min pulls. Probably why PIM services suck most of my battery life, although I have 5 email addresses plus social media accounts in my Hub.

That's because your Curve runs BBOS. The lack of true push is on BB10.

I look for payd version of Yahoo but 50€per years is to much for a casual user. I create a Gmail adress that push on my Lumia 1520. I link both address and till the BlackBerry will arrive in Romania I start to accommodate with new mail.

That's because BIS polls the server and then pushes any messages to your phone for you. There is no BIS on BB10.
