Come on same TEC as original Passport...why defend something outraged... I loved my SE...but have move on..nothing wrong with that.
So why exaggerate on the age of the device? I see this misinformation all the time on CB--let's try to stick with the facts next time. We all get that you have moved on, it's no big deal but in this age of "alternative facts", I am going to set the record straight when I see a bogus claim. I know that the SE is the same as the original---and the original is now 3 years and 3 weeks old. I'm moving on also with a P9 but I still use my Passport because it still works for me.

All I have to say is the Passport has held up exceptionally well in comparison to many other phones out there for being 3-4 years old. It's still very fast and the fact that you can have work around is not always a bad thing.

Yeah - thought that's what you meant.

But kids are often more like sheep - they follow the leader.

    Blackberry ticks off the boxes:
    I want a functional phone -
    I want a decent-sized screen -
    I want some security -
I want a mobile that picks up low signal for a decent call -

I love the look of my BlackBerry Passport SE

I could care less about apps.

It's very personal, really, the right choice of a digital device.

My choice is the Passport and I will stand up to any neigh-sayers because my workhorse is a champion -
    Hi Ho Silver!!!!

I Got one also and think it's awesome. Don't use a lot of apps and use the firefox browser synced with the firefox on my pc. As a phone, yes to make and receive calls it's great and is better for reception than my android Phone. Only got the Phone On Saturday so will give it some time

I don't know if I'll ever be able to let go of the PP. There's just something so enigmatic about it.

Have to be honest, it's getting harder to keep the old girl going...

Dropbox dead, unless you use the android app
Activesync issue with GMAIL, had to switch back to IMAP
    Ebay app crashes
Skype drains the battery, Skype Lite slow to show notifications
    Whatsapp has only months left
    And the list goes on...

That said, I still love it, the Passport is always talked about when I put it on the table during a meeting. Everyone else has an iPhone or Android glass slate, so few Passports out there.

    Unique or obsolete?

If it runs on BB10, I'll have to pass. If it ran Android I would consider it.

What it runs on doesn't matter, it still is the coolest looking cellphone with a wow factor! And works damn good for the money. It is my daily driver and does everything I need. Good for 2019 - but I'm sure I'll run both mine's way beyond that.

It's YOUR daily driver. It does everything YOU need. But everyone's wants and needs are not the same. So to me, it matters very much what it runs on. I used a BB10 device this year, and it didn't function to my standards.
